This is an excellent German made reproduction of the officer's service cap with a field-gray wool crown, black velvet band, Vulkanfiber (vulcanized fiber) visor and white piping around crown and band. Inside, it is lined in rayon and has the celluloid sweatshield. The cap is correctly marked with EREL on the sweat band. Two piece, metal insignia and chin strap are included. This is not made by us, but is an excellent imported reproduction from Germany made on original machinery. They are NOT made in China or Pakistan. The cable spring stiffener is removeable if you want to get the "crushed" look so popular during the war years. |
